Nowadays DRRD research in the following main field have been conducted.
- 1. Theory and identification of non-linear radioengineering devices in the basis of Volterre-Wiener polinomials.

This field of research has been developed at DRRD since the very beginning. Regurarly international conference on science and technology "Microwawe Electronics: Measuremens, Identification, Applications".
- 2. Semicondator devices and elements of HF and SHF tracts.

- 3. Methods and tools of radioengineering signals and tools modelling.
- Supervisor - Dr.Sc., professor Kiselev A.V.
Researh of theoretic matters of imitation radar signals and noise, design of corresponding simulation tools has been conducted for more than 20 years.
Research of mathematical models of radar objects and design of radar echo-signals simulation methods allowed to received problem decisions, which are about one billion times better than traditional methods of digital simulation on operating speed and other parameters.
As to technical design, based on the received results, for the last 20 years the whole family of simulaters and simulating software have been developed. They provide signals and noise simulation for input and tract of on-board radar receiver. These devices, apparature and software are used for perspective radar design. Totally about 20 fundamental and applied research projects ordered by the leading enterprises of electronic and aviation industry (e.g.: concerns "Leninets" , Saint Petersburg; концерн "Phasotron", Moskow; Research institute of aviation systems, Moscow etc).
Results were published in more than a hundred of publications. Novelty and meaning of technical solutions are proved by app. 30 patents. One Doctoral and several Candidate thesises have been defended.
Results obtained have hovelty and exceed the world level. Analogs of similar research are not known to authors.

- 6. Simulation of delay systems.

- 7. Research of interaction of microwaves and particles flow. In this research field on the basis of microwave and computer technologies automation control systems are designed and produced for:
- - parameters of two-phase flows (pneumo- and hidro-transporting of coal-dust, grain and so on );
- - humidity of friable materials (in the statics, in the flow - tube, on the production line);
- - quantity of solid fraction in liquids.

- 8. Research and design television transmitters of metric and decimetric waves, VHF FM stereo- and mono-radiobroadcasting transmitters, wide-range power amplifiers and elements of antenna and feeder tracts of metric and decimetric waves range.

There is a JSC "Sistemi televeschaniya"-"Television broadcasting systems" (TVBS)at the department. TVBS staff,
using department scientific results produces TV and radiobroadcasing apparature.
They produce TV transmitters with output power 10W - 5 кW, TV signal generators, radio broadcasting FM and PM transmitters, antennas and other devices for produced transmitters.
This equipment works all around Russia, and in some countries of the former Soviet Union.
